    Description

We are offering an antique circa 1850's - 1860's (possibly Chippewa) Native American long blade knife/dagger. The handle was constructed from a unique tree branch and has applied pewter. The texture of the blade indicates that it could have been made from a file. the blade is marked "Cast Steel" above somewhat illegible writing that possibly says "WARRANTED". Knife measures 17 3/8" total length. Blade measures 11 3/4" long x 1 1/8" wide. Handle measures 5 1/4" long x 1 1/4" thick. In excellent overall condition. Blade is very clean and largely free of rust, handle has been well maintained and waxed and feels smooth to the touch, no chips, no cracks that weren't part of the original piece of wood, cracks or other damage.
