Here is a Wonderful Very Rare Antique Native American Hand Made Knife and Dear Hide Sheath Folk Art Pieces. The Craftsmanship and Patina on these Items are Authentic. And Super Hard to Find in these Conditions. The knife has a hammer or stone pounding mark on the bottom of the hilt. It was hit so hard it separated the hilt and made a small or (close) bend at the hilt but didn’t bend the blade. See photos. WOW. (The repair is easy but not for us.) It is authentically used. The Knife Sheath has a Faded Light green tint. At first we thought the sheath was tinted with green dye in a Parfleche style that had Faded. But then we noticed that the Beads at the end of the sheath are 3 very old copper beads. If the wearer of this sheath had other copper adornments (which was the style of the day) then it would make sense that the sheath would get the faded greenish haze. The knife has 5 small Brass Studs that hold the knife handle in place. There is a mark on the side of the knife handle that seems to show the Original owners mark. The back of the Sheath has a hole that maybe the kill shot bullet hole. Imagine what this person would have looked like, they must have been very stylish in their time. Very Rare! 1860-1880s WOW! WOW! WOW!

The Dear Hide Sheath is in Great Antique Condition, with a warm patina from years of use. The Dear hide has normal age related dirt. There is a round hole on the back side that we assume is for moisture control. Shown in Photos. Very displayable size at 12 3/4” long x 4 3/4” widest.
The Hand Made Knife is in Great used Antique Condition, with a warm patina from years of use. The Knife Blade is fine thin steel that is sharp but it will definitely sharpen enough for a shave. The tip of the knife is mildly rough but as you sharpen this area will even out. The knife handle is bradded with 5 Brass pegs. Covered in just the right amount of age related dirt and grime. Shown in Photos. Very Displayable Size at 12” long x 1 1/4” widest.
