Circa 1830's ERA Eastern States INDIAN HANDCARVED TURKEY EFFIGY Talking stick.
AUTHENTIC Circa 1830's ERA, Eastern States, INDIAN HANDCARVED TURKEY EFFIGY TALKING - WALKING SPIRIT STICK. Very RARE Indian relic from a high end Ethnographic Collection. This is a Very Rare and Very Old Hand carved I believe Eastern States from what I have been told. (I am not an expert so please forgive me if I attribute this to the wrong peoples.) Indian Turkey Head Effigy Talking and Walking Stick that would have been used by a Reservation member personally and by members that would hold it when it was their turn to talk during Village or Clan gatherings as this allowed each elder to speak his mind and not be interrupted as only the member holding the Talking Stick should speak. Measuring 20 1/2" in length, this relic was beautifully hand carved well over 150 years ago and depicts a Wild turkey (an important food source and respected creature) with its long beak and deep set eyes, the head measures an impressive 5 1/2" in length. The entire Stick is completely covered with a green polychrome type finish with (a red strip around the upper end), from the head to the base. This is a VERY Old piece and it has a long age crack the runs along the back of this Talking Stick.  The Base of this relic has a mark that looks like a brass band was once there.
This Artifact is Dark in color and does not photograph as well as it looks in person. This Relic is in Fine Original condition. I am offering this fabulous Authentic 19th C. Museum Grade Indian Talking Stick with a Low reserve because I want it to find a good home that will give it the respect it deserves.

With all jewelry with stones, stones sizes and amounts are figured by calculation. (for an accurate total, you would have to remove the stones from the settings) During measurements there is some degree of calculation, so it is an approximation. I am not a jeweler I do the best of my ability and knowledge.
In regards to our time pieces (watches, clocks etc.)  We verify the condition when they leave our office and will be stated as working or not working. All working watches may still need to be  professionally cleaned/serviced in order to keep time accurately. Each of our time pieces are vintage and used to a different degree. If you purchase multiple items, please wait for an invoice! On jewelry items, we combine shipping as much as possible. If it fits into a small flat rate box it will ship for that price. After that it will go by weight. Larger items/collectibles can sometimes be combined if items can be shipped safely. Please inquire beforehand. Per eBay shipping standards, we must ship any items that have been paid within 24 hours.  All purchases must be paid within 7 days-if you are purchasing multiple items, request a total or request a combined invoice to receive combined shipping.

When possible all of our items are shipped with-in 48 hours of our receipt of payment. All items if size permits are shipped in USPS Priority Mail flat rate boxes, or parcel post. Shipping fees are based on our direct cost provided to us by the USPS.  We do not ship out of the country for any reason.
Returns:

To avoid loss in transit while returning, please insure the product and ship it back to us. You may contact us prior to the shipment you make, so that we can confirm well in advance the return procedure and return address to ensure that your experience in dealing with me is a pleasant one.
Returns Policy
All returned items must be in the original condition and holder.
Returns must be sent back insured for the price you paid, as well as with tracking/delivery confirmation.
We will refund sale price after we receive the item.
NO RETURNS after 30 days.
NO RETURNS if the item is damaged, resized. You must return an item in the same condition as it was received.
Items that aren't in the condition in which they were received, including signs of wear or resizing, can't be returned.
Bidders with less than 10 feedbacks must contact me before bidding otherwise bids may be cancelled at my discretion.
Damaged Broken Items During Shipment:
By purchasing an item from us you are agreeing to assist in the insurance claims process as the USPS states. This situation rarely happens but both parties must participate in order to get the a refund.   You will have to provide photos of broken item, packaging and shipping materials.  If buyer does not assist in this process, we will not be able to collect from USPS and therefore we will not be able to issue you a refund.
