Exceptional Museum Quality Fur Trade Era Paddle Knife/Dag "Baldwin" 1850's Rare

Words enough don't do this piece any justice. This is in 100% original condition and in exceptional museum quality. There are no blade flaws and the cherry handle is tightly affixed to the blade. I have never found another example with as many pins holding the blade. Made by Baldwin in New York somewhere between 1850 and 1860, which pre-dates the civil war. These were referred to as "Dags" or paddle knifes due to their flatness. The blade peaks to a point on both sides and has a nice "Baldwin" embossed stamp closer to the handle. There is some other writing within the stamp that might be legible by an expert with the right tools. These have sold at auction upwards of 20K or more, so please no lame offers. Used during the fur trade by the Plains (Sioux) Indians. This very well could have seen battle action later during the civil war, if only the piece could talk. Blade is made from forged iron with all original patina. There are early blade rubs from being in a sheath, but unfortunately I only have the dagger.
