General Hugh L. Scott and Buffalo Bill were long time friends and commonly spent holidays together as well as riding in the Generals car. Buffalo Bill's Wild West performed in the city of El Paso on numerous occasions. Beautifully etched blade. Nice maker mark SHEFFIELD WORKS 2 Philadelphia. The sheath fits nicely. This is a quality knife. Use google to find several pictures of the General and WF Cody together. Really shows its age with a nice patina and signs of use. Beautiful design! Fine condition for its age. 15.5" long overall and the blade is 10.75" long. My father left these artifacts and many many more items to me and I am passing them along to you.
